Ahh! I'm SO happy it's Friday. It's my favorite weekday. I hope to get some writing done this weekend! That would be ideal. What about you? You going to get some writing done? And you're welcome. *hugs* I'm super excited about it too! ^^
Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
Friday's are my favorite too! I'm hoping to get some writing done this weekend, like you said that would be ideal. I hit 40k in my WIP so I'm super excited! I'm getting to the end of it and I can't wait to see it finished!

Woohoo! congrats! Now I'm double jealous. ^^ I just started my WIP so it'll be a while before I can celebrate 40k. So exciting!

It's the one I sent yous sequel, the one I sent you is the one I finished in December and I started the sequel in January. I just made everything sound confusing I think

Ohhhhh I see! So cool! And you're nearing the end. You must feel so accomplished! A first novel and now the sequel.
Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
It is super exciting! Truthfully, the second novel it 20x easier to write because I don't have to set up the world as much, so I'm really loving it!

Congrats on getting the sequel almost done Sarah!
I'm really excited about the chat tonight as well. This weekend's going to be busy because my uncle is in town so we're having family dinners BUT thankfully I've got my handy dandy lap top. I'll probably just ignore the world & hopefully get some writing done.
Also, there's a Border's closing by near our house(sales!!) & yesterday my sister & I just got a $20 gift card. I'm SOOO excited!

Your probably the only person I've talked to that sees the whole, borders closing thing, in sales instead of it just closing. Every things like 60% off at mine!
The sales aren't too fabulous in my Border's. :/ But they're OK.

The Border's near me is closing too. My mom bought me a Hunger Games t-shirt in the sales. *HAPPY DANCE* I also got a $1 electric guitar calendar. But it's kind of sad, it's like Borders is dying. All those empty shelves!
Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
@Sarah I mean, I would be sad if ALL Borders closed down but there are more in town so it's okay. I haven't gone to see what kind of sales there are but I hope they've got everything YA marked down.
@Lizzy That's awesome! I'm going to check out the calendars & the journals. Hopefully those are on sale too.

The only borders near to my house is closing down, but we have a Barnes and Nobles that's even closer, has two stories of books, and a coffee place, so its all good I haven't checked my borders yet, but I think mine said that Everything was going for that much off

I like Barnes & Noble because it's so much more high class lol. But that also means that it's more expensive. Plus the membership card costs money there & there aren't coupons without it. SO I go to Borders because it's cheaper.

Same here for, for the most part I usually go to Borders, but ever since I got an e-reader I haven't really gone to bookstores anymore

I'm so against E-Readers!! It's so..not the right way to read! lol..I refuse to ever read an E-Book. I just love the feel of an actual book in my hands.
But I have to admit it's way more convenient & so much cheaper. lol

Lol, me too, but I got an iPad so that I could write, and saw the books are half the price of the ones at the store so I decided to just use it. I heard that a few publishing agencies are beginning to look at the e-reader sales instead of the real book sales, isn't that funny.

Oooh, how do you like the iPad? Is it easy to write on there?
&yeah, it's SO much cheaper to get E-Books. I didn't know publishers looked at the number of E-Book sales though.

Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
I love it soo much!!! It takes a week or so to get used to it but after at its sooo easy to write on! I love it so much more than writing on a laptop or a computer! I actually probably wouldn't write as much as I do without one, and I definitely wouldn't have finished my novel without one. So I'm really glad I got one publishers didn't use to look at them but because so many people are getting e-readers now, they all starting to look at those sales more, and most likely in the next few years they'll really only be considering e-reader sales (that last part was just my prediction, )

Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
Ooh! I'm so glad someone here has an iPad! I've been looking into getting one for college, in lieu of a laptop, since I have a desktop already. Would you recommend on-screen typing, or the keyboard dock? I assumed I would hit the wrong keys or get the screen dirty faster, so I was thinking about getting the dock. But…I may just have to try out this on-screen thing first.Sarah wrote:I love it soo much!!! It takes a week or so to get used to it but after at its sooo easy to write on! Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
I type more with the on-screen keyboard, but if your going to be sitting at a desk with it while typing then keyboard dock is the way to go. If I were you I would just try out the on-screen typing for a week or two and see how you like it, and if you don't like it then get a keyboard dock. And you'll want one of those clear screen protectors for it, that way the fingerprints won't hurt the screen. I hope this helps if you have anymore questions feel free to ask

Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to know. Apple just came out with the iPad 2, so I think I'm going to get one pretty soon. (Do the iWork apps cost anything, or do they come with it? And if they don't, then what does come with it?)
Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
the iPad 2 sounded cool, but they said it didn't have a flash on the camera, so I'm going to keep my iPad 1 and wait to upgrade once they get that, or maybe when they let you use more than just safari. What do you mean by iWork apps? The iPad comes with certain apps that are pretty basic, calendar, notepad, app store, ect. And a lot of apps in the app store aree free, but say you want a place to write, Pages is the best for that and it cost 10$ (which isn't too much, and is worth it). But, it depends on what you mean. (I love talking about iPad's, is it obvious? )

Re: Thank Goodness Its Friday
Lol, yes, it's obvious. Pages was what I was talking about. I thought iWork would come as a set, like with Numbers, Pages, and Keynote all together. I'm not really in it for the camera, so I'll probably get one within the next two months.
Maybe it'd help me get my homework done….
