Your book as a movie
A lot of times I think about my book as a movie. What I'd like it to be like, who I'd like to have write my soundtrack, etc. If you could have your book as a movie, what movie would you like it to be like? (Example: Alice in Wonderland, LOTR, Avatar, Pride & Prejudice, etc) Depending on what you write.
Also, if you've already thought about this a lot, are there any actors/actresses you'd like to play your characters? What about soundtrack? Have you even ever thought of all this before?
For me I want it to be filmed well with good coloring, darker colors. I'd want mostly british acting, though I have no one in particular picked out. It would be the dream if I could watch auditions and assist in picking the roles, but writers never get to do these things. ^^ I'd like a good director who believes in keeping to the book as much as possible and who has captured my vision.
I'm thinking for soundtrack maybe Harry Gregson-Williams, James Horner, Hans Zimmer... maybe one of those.

Re: Your book as a movie
Same! I only have one actress in mind, and it's for a minor villain-type character--Jessy Schram would be perfect for Vivian. She'll probably be too old to play Vivian by the time, if ever, my book was made into a movie. But she's perfect, anyway.
Re: Your book as a movie
She's not actually given an age, but she's between 15 and 20ish, maybe as old as 23. Jessy Schram is a young-looking actress, but I don't think you could stretch her age that far, lol. She really stood out for her performance in The Mentalist, episode Ball of Fire. And she looks exactly as I imagine Vivian, except with loosely curled hair instead of straight. *sigh* 'Twould be pretty awesome.

Lol, every time I read that part, I picture her.Amanda wrote:She's not actually given an age, but she's between 15 and 20ish, maybe as old as 23. Most of my fantasizing about books turning into movies have been about Amanda's project. I don't know if I've dreamt up something epic enough for that yet. The one I'm working on now is basically just a romance-adventure, and I can't imagine any of my other ideas translating well to the movie format. For my Snow White, the MC is sleeping a lot, the sci-fi one isn't very good in the first place, and my historical super-powers idea…hmm. That one might work.
