Re: The 2011 Launching A Star Contest
Hey. Just wanted to post a quick reminder that one of the forum rules is not to "advertise". This isn't anything involving money, and it actually sounds really awesome and exciting, but it doesn't belong in the Agent Support forum, either. We chose not to have a contest/advertising forum because several messy situations could arise from one.
But thank you for sharing all the same! If you have a Twitter or a blog where you've posted info about this feel free to share the blog or twitter link on the Social Connect forum. Then anyone who chooses to go follow you can learn about it.

SORRY!!!! I honestly didn't know that you guys chose not to post contest entries up here! Won't happen again, mon capitan!
Just so I don't stick my proverbial foot in my mouth again, is it still cool to post open agent/publisher sub info? Or would you prefer I just direct folks to my twitter feed?
Again, sorry sorry sorry!!!!
Re: The 2011 Launching A Star Contest
It's totally, totally fine! Don't worry about it. Besides, it's a cool contest, so that's +2 points to you.
The idea of the Agent Support forum is to give a safe place for teens to talk about who they're querying at the time, when they get rejections/requests etc. It's not so much a place for them to be coached, you know? If a writer wants some help on who's taking what submissions and that kind of thing, then they'll have to go look for it somewhere else. With the exception they might actually ASK on the forums, and then answers would be in order.
You know what I mean?
I'd say just keep it to your Twitter account unless you have a particular query tip or something you'd like to share.

Can do!
And hey, I'm the queen of the rejection letter, so let the commiserating begin!
Re: The 2011 Launching A Star Contest
Haha, awesome. Thank you. And I will definitely keep that in mind, because I know I'll have my share of rejections too. For sure.
