*Sigh* Took a test
So, I took a CLEP test today... and got a 50.
It is still a pass, and still worth college credits, depending on which college I go to... But the fact I got such a low grade on a test would've, once upon a time, brought me to tears. Not anymore, but I'm still pretty ticked with myself.
What's even worse? I was doing real good on the practice tests in the CLEP study books(released by the same people that make the test!). But half the time, the questions on the test barely had anything to do with the study book!!! Grrr.
Okay, I'm done venting. I'm going to go do something to make myself feel better. Like have tea and write

Re: *Sigh* Took a test
I took the English CLEP, to get out of ENGL 111, so I could take the ENGL 211. I think I got a 60. Didn't study, read the essay question wrong...so yeah. I got into ENGL 211 the next semester, though, and totally aced it, so there you are. That score was just a big let down from getting 100% on the 'Accuplacer' English test that was supposed to determine which college-level English class I belonged in. It was the first 100% score at the university, so I was expecting a much higher score on the CLEP.
Moral of my story? Study.
Moral of your story? No clue. I can't work with the whims of fate. Sorry.

*nods* It was a good idea. Delicious tea, too. Caramelized pear... Yum.

It was indeed. Delicious. Making more for myself while I'm studying is very tempting.

I'm sorry! If it makes you feel any better I practically start crying if I get anything less than a B on a test, haha, my mom then starts yelling at me and saying that its just a test. Don't you hate when that happens though? Like I took this science practice test and got a 100% and then took the actually one and they were nothing alike! I was soo mad and half of it we hadn't even learned yet :/ At least you passed it!

Re: *Sigh* Took a test
Lol, Sarah! I used to be like that. I kinda got over it after being in public school for two years. I still get upset with myself when I get bad grades, but at least it doesn't bring me to tears.
It's so annoying, right? I mean, I can understand them not wanting to make the practice test too similar to the real one, but that's not a good reason to make the practice SO different from the real one. It's supposed to be practice!! Ugh.

I know right! *shakes head* they should have to take their own tests to realize how different they are!

Which might not help, if they wrote the books––they probably have all the info memorized and can ace both. They won't be able to tell.

Haha, true, so we make them take a test in a different subject to let them feel the unfairness of it all, one that they know nothing about

Lol, Sarah! Brilliant plan! Now we just need to track them down, strap them to chairs, and implement it.

감사합니다!
(That was "thank you" in Korean. )
*goes to find them, and is never seen again. Those test makers are devious.*

That's sooo cool!!! You have a Korean keyboard? I so wish I could write in a language like that!
Oh no! I bet they send spy's out to watch us so they know when people are after them

Re: *Sigh* Took a test
Nope, no Korean keyboard. You can change the language that is input in the international and/or keyboard settings(On a Mac OS X). I changed it to Korean. Then I brought up a keyboard viewer.
They're watching us. *glances around and whispers* Even the blue and green flow-y bordering has eyes for them.
