I FINISHED MY NOVEL!!

This time, it's not an April Fool's joke. I FINISHED MY NOVEL!!! Just wrote the last words a few minutes ago and grinned as I pressed 'save'. Draft 1 is complete at 72,075 words, which I already know will change a zillion times.

But right now, it's pure excitement.

Anyway, I'm off to read Splashback. I'M SO HAPPY!

LIZZY THIS IS SO EXCITING OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait until it's awesome and beautiful and perfect. Which I'm sure it already is, but awesome/beautiful/perfect for a first draft is different.

No matter what, finishing the first draft is the best feeling ever.

Also, I love that Splashback is your reward. It makes me so happy.

Lol, that's basically my response. Congratulations!!!!! Scrivener sounds awesome! Who knew the motivation to turn a red bar green would be so driving? We just got a free month trial!

Congrats Lizzy!!!!! SO happy for you. :] How long do you plan on taking a break from it before starting the editing?

@Amanda Full screen shots are shift-command-3. Partial screen shots are shift-command-4, and you select the part of the screen you want to screen shot.
