Do you read or write in other languages than English?
travelling and languages
Hello everybody
I was wondering if any of you used other languages than English? I mostly write in french because I go to school there.
So I wanted to know if any of you read, write or speak other languages?
Also I love travelling and I think you learn a lot that way just because cultures and traditions are different. Do any of you travel? If yes, where do you like going?

Yeah, I sometimes write in French to french pen pals / friends etc. I'm still a beginner and it doesn't come naturally (yet!).
That's cool you go to school there! *jealous*

Yes, I do like it. I was saying that I lived in France, so it is normal that I go to school there
Re: travelling and languages
It sounds like such a fun place to live. Lol, I tried to learn French in seventh grade once but it didn't last very long, thanks for translating

I write stories of magic and mythology (like Percy Jackson), I also write poems
I was saying that there are many ways of learning to speak languages, I learned to speak german by watching german TV. I also said there was no reason for being jealous

Thanks for the translation I'm gonna have to learn french to talk to you all aren't I lol. That's really awesome, I love those types of books. I wish I could write poetry, I'm very bad at it. How long did it take you to learn German through watching tv? That seems like it would be hard.

Oui! Ou ecouter la musique francaise?
Re: travelling and languages
Sorry... I don't have a French keyboard and I'm too lazy to go use one online to type the accents.

Re: travelling and languages
I ran all the French through a translator--I understand! I know a little bit of Russian, but definitely not enough to read or write anything of length. I did take Latin for a year, though. Praestans, puellae et pueri! English is my only strong point, as languages go.
Re: travelling and languages
@Renee -- I took Latin too. I don't understand the first word you said but I know the other two were boy and girl. xD
Re: travelling and languages
I only write in English but I do speak two other languages. They're very similar to Hindi. &I can read Arabic. I know/understand some words but not enough to hold a conversation.

Re: travelling and languages
That's awesome Shahira! I have a friend who would love to learn Arabic-- not sure why she doesn't!
Re: travelling and languages
She should. It's a really beautiful language. I really want to be able to fully speak & understand it. One day...

Re: travelling and languages
@Stephen Whoa! You live in France? *jealous*. That's so awesome. J'espere que je peux habiter la. (haha, hope I said that right). Is it as awesome there as everyone thinks it is?
@Renee
I wish I could learn Latin! My Mom thinks it's useless, but I think it's cool. ^^
@Shahira
Arabic is a beautiful language! I would be proud if I knew how to speak it and read it! It seems so complicated to me, lol.
