Who else 'stalks' agent blogs and websites?
I have what I think is a really good, although probably a little obsessive, habit of reading agent blogs/websites very thoroughly. Why do I do this? I don't want to screw my submissions up. I want to put my absolute best foot forward. I read once that on average, an agent reads (also see 'skims') your query for about 10 seconds.
Please tell me I'm not a fangirl! (I know I have OCD, but this is different!)

Aha! I have an obsession with that too, but I hardly consider it a bad obsession! Rather, a thorough perparation. (Better than how they call stalking "research".)

You know, I actually don't. Probably when I start thinking about going on submission I'll begin the agent-stalking thing, but right now I just follow a few blogs, one of those being MSFV. That's about it.

Sure, I follow seven or eight agent blogs - it helps give you a sense of their interests, their tastes, whether or not they're the right agent for you...The only thing I'd worry about is spending so much time on their blogs or websites that you cut into writing time. "Market research" is the most alluring form of procrastination.
