Planning for NaNo? Empty Re: Planning for NaNo?

I'm not doing NaNo. November's always a bad month for me, and I always have end of year exams to prepare for. Perhaps I could do a NaNo of my own in January or February, but who knows?

Good luck to the participants!

I'll probably do the YWP, so I can set a lower goal, lol. I've tried, and I really just can't get out 1.57k every single day. I start hitting a wall after too much forward progress. Neutral Plus, I'll be querying, and hopefully have a job, so...yes. We'll see how far I get--I'm hoping to reach a 30k goal. I think 1k at least, per day, might be doable. Smile

@Matt Haha! I just might join you if you do that. Very Happy Thanks!

@Amanda Hehehe. It's that inner editor of yours, isn't it? XD And that's totally valid. Jobs are important! I kinda need one of those. Razz

@Maggie--Yeah...it's probably the editor. The inner one, I mean. I like my ideas so much, I guess, I feel like I have to do them enough justice the first time. I can't just do a terrible first draft. Bad, maybe, but not the mad-dash horrid that 50k in a month would be for me, lol.

Planning for NaNo? Empty Re: Planning for NaNo?

I am. Because I can't stay away.

Every year I say "I don't know if it's possible. I'm so much busier than last year," and every year I do more faster. Basically that means this year I should finish 100K in five days.

Joking.

Mostly.

Sorta.

Not really.

OMG I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN DO IT THIS YEAR *cries*

20 hrs/week job.
20 hrs/week internship.
20 hrs/week classes.
20 hrs/week swimming.
A SOCIAL LIFE (ha. But seriously)
Then sometimes I go out on a limb and do crazy things like eat or sleep.

And then I'm too competitive not to beat last year's, so this year I have to top 105K, AND I have to top one novel (70K) in 11 days.

*hides in corner*

As long as you all are there to support me, I will be fine.

*heads off to plot*

...right after I finish these manuscripts for Agent Lady.
...oh, and then there's the Teen Eyes manuscript in the queue.
...and tonight I'm supposed to go to a carnival.

But then I'll plot.

*stares at ARC of How to Save a Life*

...eventually.

*sighs* One word: OVERACHIEVER.

*coughs*

It'll be okay if you don't hit 105k.

REALLY.

TRULY.

HONESTLY.

I PROMISE YOU.

But I'll be here cheering you on whatever you do. Razz

@Matt Count me in! I'd love to do NaNo again in January or February. Smile

I have my plot ready to go. Well, it's more just like an idea and it'll grow into whatever it wants. That's what I did last year. Too much planning is no good for me. Smile But I should probably name my characters... Very Happy But I'm looking forward to sharing the NaNo madness with those who are participating!
