Life Updates
So it's been real quite around here. How's everyone been? How's the writing/editing/revising/anything else going? And who's doing NaNo? I am!

Re: Life Updates
I thought at first this was going to be some sort of life update about you. Hehe!
Umm. I'm not writing right now. You prob. know all that. Just chilling out until NaNo!
But the good news is that today was my last chem class for an entire week. Fall break and all. *happy dance*

Re: Life Updates
I am! I am! (NaNo, that is.) Still haven't decided what I'm going to use for NaNo. I'm thinking I'mma use Book 2. But I might use Book 3. Or this other idea. Or that OTHER idea. Oh wait...or idea #3. *like I said...haven't decided*
Also, I'm about a fifth through Ch 19 in edits! A chapter & four-fifths to go! So about 9k left. ^_^ I hope to finish by tomorrow. AT THE LATEST. *glares at deadline that keeps drifting farther and farther away...* And then I'll do a polish, and then I'll contact my beta readers to see if they're still the special kind of crazy it takes to agree to read my unpublished MS.
And I shall write a query, and...and a synopsis. Not looking forward to the synopsis. At all. They make me want to slit my wrists and give up on life. <--that's way too dramatic, but it's how I feel about them sometimes. I'm sure I'll survive. Barely.

Re: Life Updates
@Amanda LOL!! You make me laugh.
I think I'm one of those betas, yes?? I need to get myself on a serious reading schedule and catch up with the MSs these wonderful writers are sending me! #badbadbad INCLUDING YOURS! *hasn't read more than the first page*

Re: Life Updates
@Maggie--Yes! But I'd count it a good thing that you haven't read it yet, b/c then you can just delete what I gave you and read my fully polished version, all in one document.
Re: Life Updates
@Twin- I knew this. And no more chem for a bit? Yay!!!
@Teo- You should do book 2. You have to write it anyway since people prefer to read books in chronological order. At least, I do. (And as one of your betas, I'd say with much confidence that my opinion actually DOES matter for once )
Hm. I expect to hear "I'm done!" from you next time we speak. Or else! *bright menacing smile* ^^ And yes, I, at least, am still that special kind of crazy. Though it makes no difference what kind of crazy I am until I finish part 1. *frowns at MS* If it wasn't so dang long I'd print it off and read it that way. When it's on Carlton it's so much easier to get distracted. *ponders how I might get it onto my ipod* But I should be done soonish, because I want to finish it before NaNo. (Uh, no promises on the same for part 2. O_o Unless you give me a really REALLY good reason and beg––and I don't mean a "I'll loff ya 4evar" reason, I mean a REAL really good reason.)

Re: Life Updates
@Constance--Weeelll...TECHNICALLY, Book 3 is chronological. Book 2 follows different characters, catching up to the main timeline of Book 1. But I'm currently more excited about Book 2, and Book 3 has many plot thingies that need to be figured out yet. I'll be plotting(maniacally.) as well as writing for NaNo, probably. And...*retreats from internets until DONE*
Re: Life Updates
@Amanda Go with Book 2 then! You have to do what you're excited about, since you're going to be OBSESSING over it during November...
Re: Life Updates
@Teo Still. Book 2 starts before Book 3. It's still logically the right choice. And, like Maggie beat me to saying, write the one you're excited about.
Good girl. ^_^ *sets aside wicked shiny knife for now*
@Twin You always beat me to my words!

Re: Life Updates
I'm a little late in responding but I'm doing NaNo!! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself. <-- and that smiley is an understatement haha. I've got my plot ready. But for some reason, I still haven't given my characters names. Usually that's the first thing I do. #weird
Anyway, I'm just writing a bunch of poems for my Creative Writing class so noveling has been put to the back burner at the moment. :/ Oh well, only until the 1st of November.

Re: Life Updates
@Shahira YAY!
Yeah, names are the first thing my characters get too. Though that wasn't the problem, I DID have issues finding a title, which never happens. I can always come up with titles, even when they're terribly lame ones. But I have one now. ^_^

@Amanda ...Oh yeah. That, uh, title. Er. >.> Ahem. I should tell you, I suppose, that I regretfully have to decline that title.

*is not moved* Psh. You've already said you like the title I chose. Don't try that with me.

Re: Life Updates
I cried the river first. I was going through the stages of grief. Denial, bargaining, anger, depression, acceptance. That was depression, my blog comment was acceptance. I'm all good now.
Re: Life Updates
I'm glad I missed the anger, though the bargaining would've been interesting.

Re: Life Updates
Titles are tough for me too. :/ Usually I name it the first thing that pops in my mind when I tnm of the story then change it to something better later on. It's weird that I haven't given the characters names yet. I feel like I'm neglecting them.Constance wrote:@Shahira YAY!

Re: Life Updates
Well, if it makes you feel better, I realized I have no physical descriptions for ANY of my NaNo characters. *should be rectifying that* *is procrastinating instead*

Re: Life Updates
Constance, we're on the same page now. I've named them, but physical descriptions have yet to come.

Re: Life Updates
Do you write the descriptions and stuff in a journal or just kind of stay mindful of what they look like?

Re: Life Updates
The descriptions always get written down, definitely. I can keep in mind personalities, but not physical descriptions, so if I don't write it down, I'll forget. You?

Re: Life Updates
Am the opposite. I write more about their personalities than I do physical descriptions. #weird
