Hmm...some tea?
I could go for a cup of hot tea right now. Anyone else have an 'addiction' like this? Rarely a day passes where I don't have some tea.
Re: Hmm...some tea?
Lately, I've been addicted to chai tea. I could drink it every day. Alas, I'm too lazy to make it in my dorm.
Re: Hmm...some tea?
You know, I've never been a big chai fan! There are a few I like but I prefer black teas, green teas and fruit teas.
Re: Hmm...some tea?
Haha, it's definitely an addiction of mine--I love teas of all kinds, black, chai, red, green, white, jasmine, chamomile, peppermint, ginger, apple spice, ect. I have at least one cup of black with cream and sugar every day(Irish Breakfast by Twinings is the best, but Lipton is good for a tighter budget). I don't like a lot of the fruit teas, though.
I'm off to college in the fall, and I'm totally bringing an electric kettle and mini fridge(for cream) just to support my tea fixation.

^You're able to do that? That's amazing! My dorm doesn't let anyone bring electric appliances.
Oh, and I've heard great things about Twinings tea.

Twinings tea is awesome, and I love the Irish Breakfast too. I like to call myself a big tea drinker but I really don't like chai or herbal. Everything else is great.
Re: Hmm...some tea?
I have an addiction to IZZE sodas, which is basically just fruit juice and sparkling water. Does that count?
Re: Hmm...some tea?
Hey, I just bought the variety pack of Twinings tea! I haven't even opened it, yet. On my way! I'll give you my two cents after I burn my tongue a couple times. It's bound to happen.
My addiction? Candy. Not chocolate. Not ice cream. CANDY. Twizzlers, Skittles and DOTS, oh my!

Re: Hmm...some tea?
Ok, it's official. I love Irish Breakfast Tea
Same story first time I tried it. Mmm, mm!
I used to be the exact same way about candy! Then I went off it because of all the bad stuff in it and resorted to other things to fill the void. Such as cookies, ice cream, chocolate chips...
I literally will go to a grocery store and come back with a bag of chocolate chips.

I have tried many a time to escape candy....but it has been in vain. I eat Skittles until my head hurts. If I didn't have children to take care of, I'd probably slip into a sugar coma. Now that I think of it, I don't have anymore Skittles in my house. A trip to the store is on the horizon!
Cookies and ice crea, just don't do it for me...I wish they did lol! Maybe I should try chocolate chips xD
Re: Hmm...some tea?
Chocolate chips somehow help. They feel like a cross between candy and non-candy and it gets that sweet tooth. Someone dumped out a handful of starbursts in front of me the other day and all those memories of how much I really still love candy came back.
*sigh* Best invention ever would be candy that's good for you.

Re: Hmm...some tea?
We can have things like electric kettles, but no open heat or flame or potentially explosive things, like toasters or microwaves. And Twinings is great, for European teas. Their oriental stuff can be a bit weaker than other brands from the tea's countries of origin, but is still pretty good. Stash has terrible Irish Breakfast Tea, though. Stay away.blue. wrote:^You're able to do that? That's amazing! My dorm doesn't let anyone bring electric appliances.

Re: Hmm...some tea?
All right, so, inspired by this topic, I just bought me come Twinings Irish Breakfast TEAAA! Hooray! I have yet to make it though (I'll save that for the morning, when actually need to be awake...). How do you guys brew it? Do you just drink it black, or do you add milk and other fancy stuff?
Re: Hmm...some tea?
I had it with milk and a little sugar. If you like other teas black then go ahead and try it black. Love, love, love that tea! Hope you like it!
Re: Hmm...some tea?

Re: Hmm...some tea?
I'm actually purchasing some Twinings tea right now. Since so many people have said wonderful things about it.
A friend of mine told me to buy English Breakfast - have any of you guys tried it?

Re: Hmm...some tea?
That's my second favorite. It has a lighter, sweeter flavor, which I sometimes crave over Irish. Plus, I have a pretty good British accent, and a terrible Irish one, so I can feel all authentic while I'm drinking it.blue. wrote:I'm actually purchasing some Twinings tea right now.
