When writing is FUN!!
I've been having SUCH fun writing my novel lately. I'm not even that serious about it -- like, it's not "Oh, maybe one day I'll get this published!" like some others have been. It's just kind of ... for me. For fun. A post-NaNo reward.
What's everyone else working on? *sits back to listen*

*beams* I'm glad it makes you so happy.
My novel is fun too. I'm rewriting my NaNo novel, but it's still the story I loved throughout November...just with more plot and more characters. I have a faint hope that it might be publishable one day, but I don't worry about that while I'm writing. I worry about amusing myself, and getting the story down. It makes me veeeeery happy.

Re: When writing is FUN!!
Writing IS fun! I need to start doing that again…I haven't written more than 100 words since NaNo in either of my WIPs. All my writing has been rewriting in my "edited" novel. I've officially changed The Night's status from 'polishing' to 'editing stage 2', because polishing does not involve rewriting, and I've been doing quite a bit of that. At least, more than I thought I would.
Replacing huge chunks of scenes, expanding sections of telling by converting them to showing… *sigh* It's a lot. But I hope to be done by the end of December, and Renée says that, at a glance, the last five chapters look pretty easy, and going over those might actually qualify as polishing.
OH! And I came up with a new novel idea yesterday. My mom came into my room yesterday morning at my grandparents' house, and I went back to bed after she left, and within five minutes, BAM. I had a new novel, all fleshed-out. And I really really like it. Very much wishing I wrote faster, because at this rate, I won't get to new novel for three years. I'm backed up that far.

:O You SHOULD write again! It IS fun.
Ahh, right. Deadlines are tough. You can do it!
Oooooh. I LOVE moments like that! Just LOVE them! Well. Guess you'd better start writing. O_o You wouldn't want to wait 3 years.
Re: When writing is FUN!!
I'm working on a story that is all wrong. It's an unfamiliar genre with an improbable premise and a perspective I've never used before, but...I love it. Even though it *should* be all wrong, and I *should* be on high alert because of the overdoneness/potential cheese factor of my MC (I'm playing the 'unusual power' card), but instead I'm very much in love with the story, with the world, and with the characters. Of course, depending on when you ask me, I might also hate it, but still. :-P
Actually, sometimes my relationship with my WIPs feels a little like [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

@Amanda- You really need to write faster, Teo dear. I can't wait 3 years! Good luck finishing before Christmas. I never did start part 2, so when you're done, does that mean I get to read the shiny better version instead? *may or may not have done that on purpose*
@Rachel- I love unusual powers! I don't care how cheesy they are. Right now one of my MCs has an unusual power, but it doesn't do her much good. At all. Just everyone else.
In fact...Unusual powers are some of my favorite kinds of stories... *loves them*
I hope your story continues to be wonderful.

That's so awesome! The love is what counts. XD My story is kind of the same-- it's just my take on an old story line, nothing super special, but I ADORE it.
