Anyone Cook?

So, I don't all out cook super often, but since I'm kind of cohabitating with Renée right now for breakfast, lunch, and usually dinner, with the staying at my running-water-less house during the day, I'm doing it more often. And I'm getting more creative w/ my dwindling list of ingredients(mother hasn't gone grocery shopping yet…), forcing me to stop being lazy.

Anyway, I call my spurts of creative chef-ery(much like sorcery, only slightly MORE EPIC) Kitchen Adventures. I had a very successful one today involving egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, parsley(LOTS ^_^), sage, rosemary, thyme, onion, and cottage cheese. It started out as an attempt to replicate my mom's quick stroganoff, and grew from there. And it was delicious.

So, the purpose of all that rambling was to ask: Does anyone here cook? How often? Do you let yourself get creative, or do you follow recipes/things you've been taught to a T? I count baking here, too, because that's also fun.

I cook. And I bake. I don't absolutely love either, but I love delicious results.
I vary between following recipes and winging it. Sometimes winging it has terrible results, and sometimes it is DELICIOUS.
My favorite recipe right now is Jamie Oliver's perfect roast chicken. It turns out amazing every time, and it's one of those dishes that looks like it's really fancy smanchy. xD
AND, and I love making cheesecakes. And chocolate truffles/fudge. And I want to try making ice cream soon... I think I cook/bake more than I realized.

I cook I don't use any recipes I just mix what I find lol

I actually tried to post a reply earlier, but it didn't work for some reason. Weird...

I don't cook very often, but I do bake/concoct other desserty stuff. Usually just simple stuff, like chocolate chip cookies or hot fudge cake, but recently I've been experimenting with more candy-like stuff...fudge, divinity, etc. My culinary creativity is basically nil, so I tend to rely on good recipes for my kitchen work.

I cook a lot. Always have. Having four siblings and all, my mom likes all the help she can get. Plus it's good training for when I'M married and running a house. And actually, I love it.

My favorite things to make are sweet desserts, because they're fun. I like experimenting with cakes, and mixing different cake types (chocolate, vanilla, lemon, etc) with different frostings. It's fun!

But yeah. Anyway. YES, I cook, and enjoy it a lot! Though I'm really more of a stick-to-the-recipe girl. (I'm not very good at experimenting. O_o)

I cook lunch and supper sometimes. I help my mom look after my six younger siblings, so that's something I do to help. And then I bake when I want to.

It's really fun to bake cookies and cake.
