*drops rock and hears echo in silence*
*waves energetically* Hi everyone!! I this a result of school/classes starting up again? It's SO QUIET around here!
My excuse is that I've been trying to adjust to my new (and ever-changing) work schedule. Thus, I've had less time to do the things I want to-- like talk to you guys!
What's new?

My classes start today! Both excited and nervous, hoping I can remember to bring everything, and get a parking space, and make it through trig without the book for the first class, because it's coming in from Amazon tomorrow, thus saving me $125. BUT EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE. The actual classes(just 2), books, parking permit, ect. My bank account is sobbing.
Oh, and I'm also taking East Asian History II, which covers the area starting from the Late Traditional/1600's period and up. It's going to be super helpful for more than two of my books that haven't been written yet, because two ideas/WIPs(I wrote the first page of one the other day, heh*) are set in parts of eastern Asia(ancient-late traditional times), and one has a culture vaguely based on it. So like 2 + 1/2. You know, plus it's just fascinating in general.
*Yes, I'm supposed to be editing/polishing. 'Twas only ~400 words, and I have to rewrite it anyway, because I was getting it down in third-person past, and once I read over it, I realized it'd be a ton better in first-person present. So there it is.

Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
Well, I got into finger-painting with my younger siblings and I'm now rewriting my book, since the way it started, I got stuck so I'm trying to rewrite it in a way that I can continue on.
I also began watching "Murder, She Wrote" because I heard it was good and I was bored. Now, I thin I might be a little addicted to it.
I've run out of books to read and the library is being a little slow, I think, because of the snow. Which brings me to the point of the six inches of snow that we have in our yard.
I think thats about it.

@Amanda YAY! You survived Day 1! =) Is your book here yet?? I'm sure you're going to totally rock this college thing. You and all your brains. XD
@Stephen I SO understand. Good luck with your exams!
@Taylor Finger painting?? Do explain! And I wish the only issue with my library were its slowness-- my issue is that my library just doesn't carry many YA books. O_o

Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
I think it is--my school started back up a couple days after New Year's, and since then I've been drowning in a sea of homework and other not-writerly-things. (sniffle) But otherwise, it's going well.
I have managed to do some work on my WIP since the start of the term, though, which is always nice. The love for this particular MS isn't dying, by which I really mean that the MC absolutely refuses to shut up. Even during my classes. (sighs) Oh, a writer's life for me...

Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
@Maggie—Yep! I got the trig book, and I already did my homework, and I want to do it again and it makes me sad that it's already done…. As for East Asian Civilization, I accidentally bought the wrong books, because the same teacher has a higher level class on the same subject, so I got the higher books instead of the beginning books. So that book I ordered online must be returned when it gets here. All those shipping costs down the drain… Anyway, I'm happier about the new main book, because it covers all East Asia's history, instead of just modern, so I'mma keep it for reference for the two or three projects I need it for.
Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
@Maggie Well, cover the table in newspaper and then pour the paint and get the paper and then finger-paint. Tis such fun!

Ughh, that sounds DREADFUL! Not the work on your WIP-- the sea of homework! *winces at the thought* I'm SO GLAD you love your MC! That's so important. A writers life for me! *raises bottle-- err, of tea!*

Ahem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just say you want to DO YOUR TRIG HOMEWORK AGAIN???? *fails to comprehend* May I have some of these trig-loving skills?
Aww, that's such a bummer! (about the books) I hate stuff like that. Is shipping from Amazon more expensive to Alaska? *wonders*

Ahh, sounds awesome! And slightly messy. XD
Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
@Maggie—lol, it's half nostalgia and half wanting to do something more analytical. I've had a taste of it now, and realized my left brain has been starved. I've got the hunger! I don't know if I can give it to you…you must…discover it…within yourself. *dramatic looking into the middle distance*
And yes, shipping to Alaska is more, though Amazon's not a problem, because I just get books until I get the free shipping. Lots of companies(not Amazon) will be all like, free shipping in the US! And then my mom will try to buy it, and they'll be like, you've got to pay [insert big shipping price], and she's like, but is says right here—and then they mumble and say Alaska isn't part of the contiguous US/they meant the contiguous US/yadda yadda. It's pretty lame.

Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
@Amanda Haha. I see. *coughs* *beings searching self for hint of skills* *comes up empty-handed* Ahem. This isn't working so well. While we're on the subject, do you want to do my Chem homework for me??
Ahh, that's dumb. O_o They shouldn't be allowed to charge you! You're part of the U.S.! *rolls eyes* Sheesh.

Re: *drops rock and hears echo in silence*
Lol…no. Then you wouldn't learn anything!
And yes, I agree. But it's just one of those things now. I just grumble for a second and get over it, haha.
