How IS everyone??

It's been forever! I read the transcripts from Saturday's Agent Chat, and there were so many of my favorite people there, I'm sad I missed it!

Who's writing? Editing? Revising? Being swallowed alive by school? XD

I am on Spring Break. And getting lots done. AND I HAVE BEEN WRITING AT LEAST 3k A DAY SINCE FRIDAY. (4k yesterday!!) I'm at 40k total. 60k is my goal for spring break––50k at the VERY least. This novel has decided it's actually going to be long(as opposed to the 40-50k range of the last two. Heh.), which I suppose is good. It'll probably be 90k or more, by the current looks of it. We'll just have to wait and see!

Besides writing, I have done...nothing. Yep. Nothing. Bit of school––even spring break isn't a TOTAL break. Bit of cooking. Bit of creating. Bit of knitting. But mostly just writing.

@Twin YAY SPRING BREAK!! You DO know I'll be in awe of you if you hit 90k?? I've yet to stretch one story that long. O_o I'm not sure if I even could, come to think of it!

That sounds so lovely, all that you're doing. And it's well-deserved!

Umm. Well, mostly just juggling school, work, horses, and writing. I've fallen into a lovely balance of the four, and it's been splendid, except for cutting out of my Twin time and Write On! chat time and all those other internet-related things.

I've been revising Blink, which has been a wonderful journey! I've switched it to first person, so I'm really in Echo (my protag's) head. And I got rid of the first chapter that I hated so much, and now I like it, so... yeah. All in all, a success!

I'm on Spring Break! And still editing(have to rewrite the last 2/3 of Ch 1, & the first 2/3 of Ch 2). And moving…hopefully moving. I need some stability in my life.

@Constance—FIGHTING. *wants to read it* *like a lot*

I'm being swallowed alive by finals (which I really ought to study for now...), but I'm also writing. To be specific, I have this sci-fi short story thing going through my head that is bizarrely based off of Hans Christian Andersen's Steadfast Tin Soldier in a way that I can't really explain. I can't *wait* for my finals to be over, because I WANT TO WRITE FUN STUFF. But, yeah. That's what's going on with me. :-P I miss being able to chat with you guys!

Also, BTW, I actually have one of the questions and answers that got eaten from the agent chat, if you'd like me to post it with the transcript. :-)

I think "Being swallowed alive by school" is the closest to what it feels like right now, followed by writing

@Twin- *I* will be in awe of me if I hit 90k, too. I have no idea how this one is managing to be longer. I have a theory, but I'm still mostly mystified by it. O_o

I'm glad you have a lovely balance! And we always manage to make up our lost conversations, so I am mostly okay with your new schedule. ^^

@Teo- After you finish rewriting those parts of Chs 1 & 2, will you be done editing The Night?

@Constance—Oh, thank you, Constance…for the beams…you are hilarious. -_- Just kidding. I smiled. ^_^

Aaaand…no. I'm in Ch 11 on Edits 2, Ch 5 in Polishing, & in Ch 1 & 2 with timeline altering, which isn't complete rewriting, really—I have to splice together the events and rewrite the transitions & fix little things for continuity. Actually, nvm. That's Ch 1. Ch 2 needs more rewriting. There's a little cut & paste there, too, though.

And my Spring Break worktime is being RUINED b/c my mom seems to think the TV needs to be on 24-FREAKING-7. I have a constant headache.

@Amanda- I knew you would.

Aaw. Headphon––wait, no. Earplugs?

Naw, I cleaned my room enough that I can stand to be in there without irritating my eye infection.(That sounds ridiculous. XD) So I've retreated up there for now. Also, I get visually distracted just as much as audibly, so blocking out sound doesn't help too much.

...You just need to learn to dull your senses, don't you? O_o

I'm slowly writing my WIP(well, more like editing what I have and writing a little) and editing/polishing Amanda's thing(s). Progress is progress! And, like Amanda said, we're hopefully moving soon. *please be soon*

@Constance — I'll take some of those beams!
I'm on Ch 14 of Edits 2 & Ch 7 of Polishing in The Night, and then I go over whatever changes Amanda makes. And I have noiseblocking headphones.

I'm hard at work on an R&R. Soooo close to being able to send it to betas for a final look-over. Darn schoolwork keeps getting in the way.

@Renée- Yay! How far along do you think you are on your WIP?
You can have them! *gives* Yay noise-blocking headphones!

@Stephanie- DARN schoolwork! *shakes fist at it*

@Constance—Well, if my senses were dulled, I couldn't be Daredevil, now could—

@Constance — Umm...I don't know. An eighth maybe? Or a sixteenth? I'll be wrapping up Act 1 in a chapter or two, and Act 1s are generally about an eighth or sixth, so...I'm unsure. It's unfolding nicely, though, however slowly I'm going—not too short at all—which was a previous problem I'd had. I read over what I've done and I get excited about it, which hasn't happened before, so that's a good sign, methinks.

At the beginning of July, and then I will have a little peace and quiet hoping to get a summer job for a month or so, and then off to Italy(Rome), Greece(this will be very useful for my writing ) and Turkey *so exited*. But for now on the menu it's work...and more work lol
