School? Writing?
Wondering who goes to school here, who is home-schooled, who is out of school and prepping for college? And depending on where you have your education, when is the best time for you to get some writing done?
Re: School? Writing?
I go to regular, old public school. Sometimes I wish I was homeschooled, but I might as well enjoy the "high school experience". Because I have school which ends at 3PM and homework that can last till 9PM (along with distractions on the internet...lol) I pretty much only have time to write late at night during school nights if I'm lucky or on the weekends.
Re: School? Writing?
I go to a charter school, which is sort of a publicly-funded home school. I switched from public school after freshman year, so I could get serious about writing. I have some online classes, and then I take some classes at the university. It's really flexible(a little too flexible, at times), so I still like writing at night best, but I've recently been able to write during the early afternoon. Still can't get anything done in the morning, though. Unless you mean like three and four in the morning, heh.

@Amanda It's sort of the same for me. I'm home-schooled but I attend a couple classes at a tutorial, and they give me homework and such to do while I'm home the rest of the week. So I do get plenty more writing done than I would if I were in actual public school, but it's not a very light workload. The difference is I get to do it in the comfort of my house with a mug of tea if I like.

Getting ready to take my GED and go to college. I have about 12 years of schooling until I achieve my goal of veterinary surgeon. O_O

I'm home schooled. It's really an public school online so I have teachers in every subject and assignments due on specific days but I can do them in any order I want. And, I'm taking some college classes. So, I really do my writing whenever I need a break from school. The time of day doesn't really matter for me but I do have a specific place where I have to write

Yeah, I get a lot more writing done than when I went to public school--freshman year, I was so exhausted(I have the insomnia ) that I could only write on weekends. Not much progress was made. So now I can write and have as much tea as I want!Lizzy wrote:@Amanda It's sort of the same for me. Aw, thanks Lizzy. Unfortunately, I have to become a successful, bestselling author before I can attend vet school, and then "surgeon school." (It's WAY too expensive otherwise.) I've wanted to be a vet since before I was of school age. I remember distinctly watching Emergency Vets on Animal Planet and knowing that it was what I wanted to do. It's what I've always wanted to be.

Hence knowing every dog breed in existence? You can do it!
