Classical music, anyone?

I'm having an appreciation for classical music today, because I was listening to MY favorite composer, Peter Tchaikovsky!

If you listen to classical music, who are some of your favorite composers?

Next to Tchaikovsky, I LOVE Mozart (seriously! LOVE!), Debussy, Offenbach, Beethoven, etc... I love ballets, period, so a lot of those composers (though I don't know their names) could be considered favorites.

George Gershwin FTW lol, does he count as classical? I had to write a paper on him for music so my teacher made me listen to all his songs and I actually found myself loving a lot of them. But other than him I don't listen to many classical music composers, though I'm sure if I sat down and listened to the songs then I would love it

I definitely enjoy classical music, but not so much the more mathematical composers. I like to feel emotion in the music, rather than appreciate the meticulous details. They're all fun to play, though.

@Amanda I know what you mean. I don't enjoy Chopin or any of the composers who wrote piano sonatas. I can't appreciate that kind of music to the fullest. I love Mozart's Symphonies, the ones that swell and are so dramatic. His final works are (in my opinion) the best! So emotional.

Really? Haha, I hadn't heard about him either until just a few years ago. My favorites from him are Rhapsody in Blue and An American in Paris

I LOVE classical music. Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy. I took Music Appreciation which introduced me to a lot of good stuff. :]

I'm glad you do too Shahira! Music Appreciation sounds cool. And if they introduced you to composers like that, it must have been. ^^

It was good. :] But it was during the summer & kind of early so I was half asleep during the class a lot of times haha. &I didn't have any friends in there so I was the awkward kid sitting in the back row lol.
