Favorite weather

Random, but it's sunny here today and making me happy so I thought I'd ask. What's your favorite weather and why? Also, what kind of weather is your favorite to write in?

For me this is an unfair question because I tend to love weather as it comes, but once I've had enough I've had enough. I love to write during thunderstorms (something about it just inspires me to no end!) but I also dearly love the sunshine.

I love sunny and warm weather, not hot, just warm. That way you can stay outside fore a long time.
For writing though? I like cold, dreary, wet. Because if it's sunny then you won't find me in the house writing, I'll be outside. But when the weathers bad then I get a lot done

I like partly cloudy with a breeze, and all sun in autumn and spring. For writing, I like rain storms, wind storms(we don't really get thunderstorms), or just a quiet night with no clouds. There's just something about the more extreme weather that inspires me like nothing else.

I TOTALLY know where you're coming from! Same story. I don't want to sit and write when it's sunny and comfortably warm.

It's sunny here too Lizzy. &I also LOVE writing during thunderstorms. There's something about the sound of the rain that gets me in the zone!

I love the cold because I love to bundle up. Autumn is my favorite time of year because of the crunchy leaves! But any sort of cold, wet, gloomy weather will do for me. I prefer that over a hot, sunny day.

The one good thing about summer days though, is driving with the windows down. Nothing beats the feeling of that.

Yes! The sound of rain especially REALLY does that. <3

I do love the cold, when it's early November and I'm ready for it. But midway through January all I want is for it to warm up. I don't like hot days either.

Yeah, I know how that is.

Same here! Especially summer thunderstorms. LOVE!

Autumn is my favorite, too! Ours starts in August and September--best time of the year. Of course, my autumn is low sixties(on super nice days) and mostly fifties/high forties(all Fahrenheit, o' course), so I don't know if that's the same...

You mean, ours is August and September. By October, we usually have snow--makes trick-or-treating fun. (I've only gone like, three times, and it was freezing--not worth the effort. You have to wear so much snow gear that a decent costume is impossible.)

I should probably answer the question: My favorite weather is very high power winds--especially if they're cool or warm, not cold. We get them, probably six or seven times a year, and it makes me feel alive like nothing else. If I can lean out and not fall over, because the wind is holding me up, it's a perfect writing day. (Elements are my thing--like most, I am also inspired by rain.)

That's so cool Renee. I totally agree. We get tornadoes and tornadic weather where I live, so I know what it's like to stand outside when the wind is really going crazy! There's something so inspiring. It's like it releases your soul or something! Ok, maybe I got a little carried away...but I love wind.

I love rainy, stormy weather. I think it's the perfect time to cuddle with a book or a laptop and string a story together. <3

The sun infuriates me.

But what really gets me are those days when it's cold, but the sun is out, and you can see patches of sky and wispy white clouds! AH! I just want to tell the weather to make up its mind! xP

Ugh, I can't stand wind. Stuff just goes flying when it shouldn't lol..

Maya, I'm with you on that one. I hate when the weather is bipolar.
