2011 is almost over! What will you miss? And what are you looking forward to in 2012?

Re: 2011/2012
2011 was an amazing year. I won't ramble about it... but I've met some of my favorite people and got involved in some awesome things (like horses!). Also it's been good writing-wise. Yeah...
What's on my mind for the next is, first and foremost, YOUR VISIT, Twin!! I also just got a job, so THAT'S on my mind. And also I'm going to see my back doctor in January and we're going to take x-rays to find out if all my hard work the past year has paid off or not. *bites fingers* ALSO, I turn 18 in the coming year.
Phew! LOTS of big stuff on the horizon. It's exciting, and a tiny bit daunting. But that's how I like life. XD

I think 2011 was just awesome for everyone because Write On! was created and so we all have this wonderful new community.
My visit, YES.
And I hope your job will be awesome, and that doctor's visit goes well? How soon after my visit is that?
Man. You're gonna be so old.
I agree. I wouldn't be too happy if life wasn't a little bit "unknown horizons"-y, either.

Re: 2011/2012
2011 was great for too. I think I've learnt a lot more in the past year than I have in the other years. It's also began my writing break through. I haven't been able to finish a novel for as long as I can remember and the coolest I got o one was almost at the end and then find something majorly wrong. I should stop rambling. Oh, and it was the year I found Write On!, Figment, and Inkpop which have helped me with my writing and encouraged me to keep going.
2012 means that I'm a year older. I plan to finish my novel, and write a sequel, do some more blogging, and make some new friends.

@Taylor- I'm glad 2011 was so good for you! I understand the writing breakthrough bit completely! Without Write On! I would probably still be an on-off writer. *loves WO!* ^^

Hahah. True, true!
Thanks! I hope so too. I leave the 21st, so it's a week or so after your visit. *jumps up and down* Speaking of which, you're in the airport as I type.
I know, I know. Positively ancient. It's a little bit frightening.

That's awesome! I love writing breakthroughs. (Nice to meet you, by the way! I don't think we've been introduced. I'm Maggie.) It's amazing how writing sites help keep you going, isn't it?
Sounds like good plans to me! Good luck with all of it.
Re: 2011/2012
For me, the first 1/2 of 2011 was good and then it all went downhill from there.
In terms of writing, though, this was what I did: I finished my third novel. I revised the heck out of that novel. I asked for feedback on my writing in various sites/blogs/forums and my writing got trampled (in a good way?). I got critique partners. It got more or less beaten up, again (but for the better). I started reading/critiquing four different manuscripts (not including my own) at the same time (I'm still doing this now). I MET YOU LOVELY PEOPLE. <3 I got to chat with agents. I got a partial request through Write On Con. Two months later, I got a rejection from that request plus other rejections that were frustratingly all form letter rejections. I took a break from writing to REALLY finish up college apps.
And now in 2012, I feel like I'm on square one again (except post-college-application-trauma and pre-college-admission-results-angst haha). I'm currently finishing up critiques for my CPs and also waiting for them to finish the revised version of my novel before I start querying again. Honestly, I'm starting to lose hope for that novel since besides the form letters, the only agent-response I got from it said that she didn't think it would sell. I'm currently in the no-man's-land between totally shelving one project to move on to the next (my NaNo) but mostly I'm just taking a breather after a very stressful 2011. I'm planning on having my NaNo ready to go on submissions by April.
Oh, and I hope you guys are having LOADS of fun with Constance's visit! And Constance, we ARE getting old. Egads.

@Lyla- MAN, you have been busy! I hope 2012 isn't so stressful. O_o
The trip was wonderful. I'm sad I'm back in Texas.
