Truckload of words
So, as I may have told some of you, I've been pretty determined lately to finish my novel within the next 15 days (or 15 days from yesterday...) and so the past two days I've spent the afternoon just writing like my life depends on it.
Yesterday I totaled 6k, today it was 5k. That's 11k in two days, and I'm absolutely exhausted! I feel like Taryn or something, LOL! But I'm not burned out yet. I'm still hoping to finish with the next week or so so I can begin edits on a different novel.
But it's truly crazy. Just thought I'd share, heh. This is not a normal occurrence!

Re: Truckload of words
I'm totally jumping on that bandwagon starting Saturday! I plan to finish rewrites by the 20th, so that's 22k in...14 days. That's ~1.5k everyday, which can be a lot for me if I'm not feeling it. So...let's hope I'll be feeling it for the next couple weeks, lol.
Re: Truckload of words
I've been working on the same novel for the past eleven months and I'm hoping to finish it before the end of the year but I want to do my best not something finished only because I put a date on when I want to finish it
Re: Truckload of words
Lizzy & Amanda: You guys are pretty much doing NaNo but in May lol..&it's the extreme version. ;] Good luck to you both. &it'll be worth it in the end...even if you lose your sanity a little bit lol.
Stephen: Good luck on finishing your novel! I hope you get it done. How many words is it so far?
I just barely started writing my current WIP so I only have 750 words but I want to start writing at least 1K daily. Starting tomorrow, I hope!

Re: Truckload of words
It's NaNo in May! Exactly! That's like Christmas in July. But I have to move my deadline up to the 17th. That's exactly 2k a day. Or a chapter every 2.75 days.
Re: Truckload of words
I set myself a deadline for this novel...it has to be finished by the end of June. Since I'm only 3,000 words in and I'm planning it being roughly a 130,000 word novel, that's 2,250ish words per day I have to write from now until the end of June. That's almost worse than NaNo, except that I was writing 2500 a day last NaNo. *is an overachiever*
Anyway, I don't know if I'll succeed here or not, but I'm going to try. I'll get SOMETHING done, at least. XD

Re: Truckload of words
Haha so true Amanda. Good luck to the both of you! p.s. I think 2,500 words a day is insanity, Andre..lol

Re: Truckload of words
Now that I'm back home, I will have more free time(relatively, kinda, sorta), sooo, as soon as I finish my plotting(OhMyGOODNESS, IT IS TAKING WAY TOO LONG), I will jump on this awesome bandwagon too!!! I don't want 2011 to end without finishing Novel #1.
Novel #1, be afraid. Be very afraid. Just not so afraid you don't come out to play. ^_^

That's a good mindset! It'll probably be much better quality than mine. However, it's the way I work. Way to go!

Haha, it's just a warm up. xD Hehe. I don't normally push myself like this, I just REALLY need to get started on my edits, but the WIP is in the way. So thus, I'm setting more time aside to really GET IT DONE.
750 words is good! Good luck with writing 1k a day! You can do it.

*cough* WE set your deadline for the end of June. Jk. But that's awesome! 2,550 isn't bad, but every day of the week makes it sound harder, but you can do it! Good luck!

Relatively, kinda, sorta-- LOL! I sooo know the feeling. And I HATE plotting, so I feel for you! Can't wait 'till you're in the wagon! Though maybe by the time you are I'll be in the editing group with Sarah. >.< *hates editing!!!*
End of 2011 is a good goal! Gooood luck!
Re: Truckload of words
@Lizzy Really, the goal is end of 2011 summer. But since I don't know what this summer is going to be like, I don't want to get ahead of myself. And gracias; I rather like good luck.

@Constance Eh, that makes sense! Since you might be heading to Korea at the end of the summer, right? *pangs of jealousy*

Hehe!! Just got to this (plane ride yesterday), and I love that. Doesn't it feel so awesome? And your dialogue flows and the pacing is great, right? RIGHT?
Re: Truckload of words

*starts composing explanation now, anyway* "Mommy, this is Lizzy. She's my twin. Yeah, I know, you've never met her before, but she is..."

I don't know how many words I have written because I haven't put it on computer yet and because I am still not sure about some details at the beginning of the story not sure where I should start the novel exactly
