100 Days 100 Words

HI GUYS.
(Yes. The wild Constance lives. Don't be too shocked.)

So I heard about this from Matt way back on like the second day and I've been sorta doing it too. Sorta. I miss days. But then I feel better because I wrote EXTRA the next day. (...So I cheat. It gets it done. *cough*)
I just didn't come over here to say I'd joined because I have been hiding from the forums. It and my inbox sorta...um...became terrifying entities when I returned from my canoeing trip. THEY BECAME MONSTERS THAT WERE GOING TO EAT ME.

Ahem.

So yeah. CanIdoittooprettyplease? *puppy dog eyes*

Of course you can do it, too, Twin! If you want to be religious about it you can call whatever-day-you-start day 1 and I'll still cheer you on for 100 days after that. But otherwise you can just do what I've been doing, which is failing to write every day, but at least making an effort / progress in your WIP!

Which brings me to my confession, guys. I've been writing about 2,000 words every 2 days. So it's technically still MORE than I would be writing, were I hitting 100 words every day for 100 days like I planned to, but that doesn't make me feel better... since the truth is, that I forgot more than once about 100 words 100 days. *hangs head in shame*

I could rattle on with a hundred excuses, but there really aren't any good ones, so I'll just finish with: I AM writing, I am making great progress, and I still want to cheer you guys on / be part of this! Even though I've failed...

That's about it.

The whole point of this 100 words 100 days thing is to get you writing, right? So I think you're doing just fine, Maggie. : )

@Maggie That's still great! The whole point of this is to just get us writing and from the sounds of it you're doing that so don't worry

@Alyssa I just wrote pretty much the same thing to Maggie before reading what you said to her lol

I've made the decision today to shelve my editing project, EXCALIBUR, for reasons I've discussed in my new blog post (which you can read when it goes live in a few hours). But that unfortunately means I don't have a current project to write/edit anymore - ROGUE is still in the planning stages. So, I'm going to drop out of this 100x100 challenge.

Despite the fact that I made very little progress (which was completely my own fault), this challenge *did* get my butt in the chair every day... okay, *most* days, and so thank you all so much for your support. When I finally start writing my latest project I may rejoin you, but who knows?

So, yeah. Good luck to everyone else still going!! I'll still check back often to cheer you all on!

@Matthew Aww I'm sorry it didn't work out! Maybe you could plan the new novel 10 minutes a day every day instead?

@Twin & Sarah--YAY. I shall. I have failed a few days, but not because I forget. I just am a bad writer sometimes. *cough* BUT I TRY TO MAKE IT UP THE NEXT DAY BY WRITING DOUBLE HONEST.

@Sarah: Unfortunately, I've just about finished planning my new WIP, but I'm waiting until I go to Germany before I start writing

@Constance: Don't feel bad - I forgot too. Actually, I was really slack at checking in anyway.
