NaNoWriMo Time!!!
For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and it takes place two weeks from now in November! A lot of us participated and rooted each other to our 50,000 words in a month goal last year so I'm excited to hear who is doing it again this year . For those who plan to join in this year, do you have your ideas for it ready? Or are you still trying to decide?
For those who haven't heard of or participated in NaNo before, here are the two websites for it: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] And [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Because we're teens we can participate in either Though if you do the adult program you have to write 50,000 words to get credit, while the young writers program lets you set your own goal. If you're having troubles deciding which to do just mention it and some of us can give you our input on them

I am so doing it. So. I have my novel picked, less outlined than I'd like it to be, and I'm itching to begin. *bounces* NANOWRIMO. YAYS.

Re: NaNoWriMo Time!!!
@Sarah—I only got to 16k(in that one), and I have to rewrite basically all of it for depth in POV + to flesh out some things I skimmed. But a month or so ago, I reworked the first scene(I think 2k, but I'm not sure, maybe a bit more), so I have a place to start, at least.

@Constance Yay! I'm excited for it too! I'm so happy a lot of us are doing it together again this year
@Amanda That's great! At least you'll have a solid idea of where you want to go with it

Re: NaNoWriMo Time!!!
Oh man.
I've just come up with an awesome seed of an idea for NaNo... and now, four and a half days before November 1, I think I want to do NaNo.
50K is too much for me, but I'm thinking about doing the YWP challenge and setting my word count for 25K. That's much more manageable, and I think my idea would fit better into that size.
It's going to take a lot of research before I can start, and I already have a project I'm working, so I need some advice on how to prepare for NaNo in four days. (Or you could try and talk me out of it. That might be a bit better for my mental health. I'm a crazy, delusional fool for thinking about this.)
OHMYGOSHI'MSOEXCITED.

Re: NaNoWriMo Time!!!
@Sarah—Yes! We must war and it'll be the best thing OH MY GOODNESS. ^_^
@Matt—Hahahahah. That's sorta like how I came up with yet another idea last night and am toying with writing it along with my current idea, along with my current NOVEL which I still plan on writing during NaNo. Your crazy has nothing on my crazy, dude.
But as far as advice goes—I'd suggest getting an outline done first. Research you can fudge/look up as you go, but outlines are nigh-essential when you are writing under this much of a time limit. Or you could just not sleep for the next three days and just cram all the outlining and plotting and research in before NaNo starts. That could work too. Sleep is for wusses. XD

@Stephen: pen and paper?
Unfortunately I've decided *not* to do NaNo anymore Short version: I don't have any ideas. Slightly longer version: see my blog.
But good luck to everyone else!

Re: NaNoWriMo Time!!!
I read it, Matt, and tried to comment but Google hates me at the mo. Basically I said, "ALAS, but good reasoning. SEE YOU IN NOVEMBER."
