Only 100 days away .... NOOOO NOT ENOUGH TIME TO PLAN.

Does everyone already know what they're going to write? I think I do, but it's going to need a lot of planning. :/

I think I do but I'll have to see when November rolls around. Luckily I have 100 days to prepare!

@Brigid I have NO IDEA what I'm going to write. But add a 'YET' because I intend to figure out once we're about 50 days away. It's too early now. XD

Curses. This'll be my fourth time doing NaNo, but I'll be at college...I have the feeling that'll make it much harder this time. XP *really hopes he doesn't break his winning streak*

I rarely know what I'm going to write about more than a week beforehand...that is, I always have several ideas for something to write, but I'm never able to decide on just one until it starts. XD The past two years, I've been positive I knew exactly what I was going to write right up until about October 28th, when I changed my mind and wrote something else. Right now I have two or three things I could write, and I know I'll have generated more by the time November comes. *sigh*

@Andre Have you ever finished something for NaNo?? As in, "won" ? Completed the goal? Whatever they call it.

And I didn't know you were going to college. How exciting! But yes, it could pose a couple difficulties.

@André - I'm starting college this year too! Where are you going? (Not to be stalkerish or anything.) I'm going to Hampshire. Woot. Anyway, yeah ... I've been thinking the same thing. I'm not sure I'll have enough time. But, we'll see. I'll try to fit it in somehow.

I think I'm going to try to write a sequel to something, which is probably a bad idea. Except it's more like a companion book, so ... it won't be too connected to the first book. Meh. We'll see.

@Lizzy I won all three years I've done it. Hence my hoping I don't break my streak. XD I sort of failed last year, though, because I set a goal for myself of 75k words and only made it to 71k. But I still beat the 50k mark, so I won anyway. XD If I weren't going to be at college, I'd be aiming for 100k, but as it is, that would be a bit insane. Maybe next year.

@Brigid I'm going to Augustine College...you probably haven't heard of it. It's actually just a one year college, and it's not officially accredited. Most other colleges will accept its credits, though, so I shouldn't have too much trouble if I decide to go somewhere else afterwards. I don't think I will, though, for various reasons...and if I do, I'll still most likely be taking a year off afterwards. But it will be interesting to see how being there affects my ability to write.

@Andre Awesome. Of COURSE you did. *now thoroughly pumped* I think 50k will be an easy feat. That doesn't mean I won't write 50k of absolute junk.

@André - Sounds cool! Are you majoring in something writing-related? Or, do one-year colleges have majors at all? I don't actually know... Anyway, I'm hoping college will be helpful to my writing experience. First of all, being in a different place and meeting new people should be inspirational. And I hope to befriend more creative people; my high school put more stress on math and science and whatnot. Aka not my strong points. I'm concerned about whether I'll have time to write. But, I know a couple college kids who write and they seem fine. So, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

NaNoWriMo?

@Stephen It stands for National Novel Writing Month. It starts in November and the goal is to get 50,000 words written in one month. Google "NaNoWriMo" and you'll get tons of info on it
