I'll be nineteen this fall. I like reading fantasy as well as westerns and Christian Romances, sort of an odd assortment. I've been writing since I was twelve, but very poorly, I can't say it's improved much. I've been reading since I learned how in first grade. I like wearing mismatched socks. And for the sixth question: A frozen pizza, or m'n'ms.

I look forward to get any writing help I can.

Hi, everyone! I joined the forum a while ago but I don't think I introduced myself yet.

2. What do you like to write / read? I read MG and YA (fantasy, mystery, paranormal, some contemporary), but I only write MG (same genres)
3. How long have you been writing? I don't know how long I've been writing, probably since I was very young (I still have a bunch of stories and drawings I made a LONG time ago), but I've been writing seriously since I was 11.
4. How long have you been reading? Since I was six, in kindergarten.
5. What's a random fact about you? Hmmm. I recently started watching Doctor Who and now it's my new favorite show. Does anyone else like Doctor Who?
6. It's 4 in the morning. You find yourself in a grocery store and very hungry. What's the first thing you think to buy? Probably some Sunchips.

1. How old are you? I'm a little past sixteen and a half!
2. What do you like to write / read? Hmm, I read just about anything. I'll admit though I'm not very interested in fantasy though. I'm more interested in reading stuff like Tom Clancy or ancient Greek texts. However I'll read anything if someone says it's good enough to. As far as writing I haven't written stories before besides what I'm working on at the moment which could be described as a Cold War Espionage Thriller? I've written many many poems, movie reviews, and compositions on philosophical topics though.
3. How long have you been writing? I've been writing more than just for school for the past 3 years.
4. How long have you been reading? As long as I can remember.
5. What's a random fact about you? A random fact? Only one? Well I like to think I have a few more than just one...but for one I've taught myself Attic, Koine, and modern Greek.
6. It's 4 in the morning. You find yourself in a grocery store and very hungry. What's the first thing you think to buy? I'd have to say at 4 in the morning I think I'd like a gyro!

Haha you do know Attic and Koine are just two older...namely ANCIENT dialects of Greek!

I'll think about that one. I mean those Asian languages look to be extremely difficult to learn with their cryptic form of writing. Can't imagine having to remember all those symbols! And then whenever I hear those languages spoken it's very difficult to pick out individual words. I bet you can do it if you try though!

If it's good, I'll read it. But I definitely have a preference for fantasy (high and urban), soft SciFi, and YA.

Scraps and poems and little flash pieces since 6th grade, but "for real" since freshman year of college when I figured out making stuff up was so much more fun than the degree in Journalism I was thinking to pursue.

Since age 2...and I haven't stopped yet!

Hmm...I've been to all 50 states plus a couple of countries, someday I want to adopt a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with red eyes and name it Voldemort, I love camping, and I sign (go sopranos!)

Thanks, Lizzie! Glad to be here. I've been a Twitter follower for a while, and wanted to get a better idea of what you guys were all about. So far, so good!

Yay! It's been a great time so far.

...Okay, maybe using that as the title of my reply was a mistake, because now I have "Cherry Bomb" playing in my head.

Alright, so here goes. You can call me Kaye. Just about nineteen years old, and (obviously) crazy about writing and reading. My recent favorites in the YA genre include Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier, Lips Touch by Laini Taylor and The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter. I blog about my reads, and, when I'm present-minded enough, my writing [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

I'm what I would like to call a "well-rounded" author - meaning that I'm willing to try out writing in any genre. The First Novel is a dystopian, sort of a knee-jerk reaction from reading the Hunger Games and not being really satisfied with the heroine (no offense to any fans). It's about 92% done and I'm really crossing my fingers that I can get it ready for query within the next year.

How long have I been reading? Well, that's a loaded question (and as it is, writing such a detailed bio about myself is making me feel very egocentric). I've been reading since I was three (chapter books since I was five); I'm homeschooled and I've always had a high reading level, and I love reading, so I've never stopped.

I even take books to weddings. Yes, I know, I am really bad.

I am pursuing a career in Library Science, and hope to have a parallel career in my first love, which is *no duh* writing for teenagers.

Well, it's nice to meet you too! And believe me, I don't mind hyper. One of my best friends acts like she's a five year old on a sugar rush in the middle of a concert ALL YEAR LONG. So yeah, I'm used to it.
